About Camp [-]

Camp Akeela is perched on a crystal clear lake in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Camp Akeela is a co-ed, overnight camp in Vermont. Within a well-rounded and traditional program we emphasize the social growth of our campers, many of whom have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome or a non verbal learning disability. Akeela is an intentional community that values and celebrates each child and staff member. Campers make life-long friends, develop self-confidence, achieve independence, and leave camp with lasting memories filled with fun and spirit. Within the predictability and structure of the camp program, campers enjoy ample opportunity for choice and specialization.
