Camp Lakey Gap, a camp for people with autism, is located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Through intensive staff training, visually structured teaching techniques, and a high degree of individualization we are able to provide a meaningful experience to campers of any ability level. Our staff:camper ratio is 1:1 or 1:2, and we feel that this level of supervision allows for the greatest chance at success while maintaining a new environment. Camp Lakey Gap staff are taught to value and empower people of all abilities, and we foster an attitude of loving acceptance for all people that are part of our program. When you send your camper to Camp Lakey Gap you know that they will be well-cared for while they explore their potential to grow in confidence and independence.
