First met Chuck Thorton, the founder of this outfit, when he worked for Wyoming Game and Fish and I worked at California Fish and Game. You will not find a more honest, knowledgeable guy in the world. My late father was so pleased with a visit there he gave Chuck one of his watercolor paintings.
The Wyoming Range in back of Big Piney has everything you could want: history, fishing, diverse wildlife, and still has productive ranching and even some oil and gas production that adds a little diversity to the economy.
My personal favorite secret spot is a little spring at the head of Straight Creek that Chuck set me and a friend up on over 30 years ago.
