Located in the heart of the pines and the Pocono's 90 minutes from N.Y.C. and Philadelphia is the finest traditional weight loss camp in the country. Our Camp Pocono Trails has facilities and programs that cannot be matched anywhere. Located on 350 private acres the camp is nestled on its own private lake front. Water activities include boating, canoeing, water skiing and jet skiing. The lake is totally private and on site. In addition to our private lake, we also have two totally separate swimming pools overlooking our lake. This is the only weight loss camp in the country with two separate swimming pools one for boys and one for girls only. Each pool is equipped with lounge chairs. We offer water aerobics, swim instruction along with water polo, water basketball, water volleyball and sun tanning. The athletic facilities are top of the line and plentiful; 18 tennis courts for instruction and match play, 4 outdoor basketball courts, 3 soccer fields, 5 softball diamonds, 8 beach volleyball courts,archery range, a hockey rink. In addition we a state of the art Climbing Center equipped with an Odyssey adventure course, climbing wall and giant swing. We also have fishing, a nature program, campfire ring, and other adventure type programs - miniature golf course. The great feature of all these outdoor facilities is that most are lit up at night so campers can play day and night. In addition to the multitude of outdoor facilities Pocono Trails also has tremendous indoor facilities. The camp has a 7,000 square foot gymnasium for basketball, hockey and other activities. A huge playhouse for dramatics and evening activities. An aerobic studio, a weight room equipped with universal and free weights. A treadmill workout room. A canteen equipped with ping pong tables, video games and sundry items where campers can congregate and socialize during their free time. This is a camp where the weather is never a factor - we have enough indoor facilities to keep the campers busy despite the elements. Campers reside in comfortable cabins with 6-8 campers in each bunk. Campers are grouped according to age and our counselors live right in the cabins with the campers. All shower facilities are brand new and there is a maid service which cleans the bathrooms every other day. We put thick mattresses on the bed and we never ever use double deckers. It is important for us for the campers to feel comfortable in their environment and we feel we do this well. We are so confident that the campers will be happy that we are the only traditional weight loss camp that offers an open phone call policy. You and your children have the opportunity to communicate so that you know there will be no surprises. Our campus is safe and secure with a full medical staff along with 24 hour security.
