Camp Vanguard is a state of the art facility located at the Vanguard School in Lake Wales, Florida, between Tampa and Orlando. Just 30 minutes from Disney World, campers will be able to take optional side trips to Disney World, The Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, MGM Studios. just a few of the exciting attractions in this area. Camp Vanguard has a tremendous array of athletic and cultural facilities to keep campers active and happy. The camp sports a huge outdoor swimming pool which is perfect for water aerobics, instructional swim, or just having fun splashing around. The camp's three all-weather tennis courts are kept busy around the clock with instruction, tournaments and free play. The camp also has great outdoor playing fields for soccer, softball, football, badminton, Frisbee, volleyball, and any other sport imaginable. Indoors the camp has an enormous state-of-the-art gymnasium which is fully air-conditioned. Here we have aerobics classes, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and more. This great facility, which is ours 24 hours every day, allows us the comfort to know our programs will never be cancelled due to inclement weather. The building also includes a weight room, treadmills along with showers and lockers.
